On the morning of July 31, 2023, the opening ceremony of Practical Training Course for Cardiovascular Specialist Nurses of Chinese Nursing Association was held on the 5th floor of Outpatient Building of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Liu Meili, Head of Cardiovascular Specialist Nurse Training Base and Head Nurse of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital chaired the opening ceremony. Xin Xia, Director of Nursing Department, Deputy Director Li Qiaoling, head nurses of all units of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital and training teachers gathered and welcomed 10 trainees from 7 provinces nationwide.
Yuan Zuyi, President of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital, delivered a video speech, illustrating the diagnosis, treatment and nursing status of cardiovascular diseases, emphasizing the significance of training specialist nursing talents to improve the diagnosis and treatment levels and hoping to cultivate more specialist talents and establish a unified and standardized specialist nursing management model for cardiovascular diseases, aiming to comprehensively promote persistent development of cardiovascular nursing care in a specialized, refined and detailed specialist pattern in Shaanxi province.
Xin Xia gave an opening speech, introducing the development and achievements of cardiovascular discipline in recent years, hoping that all trainees can complete this training course with excellent results, apply theoretical knowledge into clinical practice, better serve each patient and further promote the development of cardiovascular nursing care.
Xi Yangjuan from Nursing Department explicitly illustrated the training and management of nursing team and specialist nurses in the FAH. Li Juanli, Deputy Head Nurse in charge of the training course, introduced the training course, interpreted the management system of training base, emphasized the discipline requirements, assessment contents and evaluation methods as well as the cautions during the training period. Yang Chunxia, Supervisor Nurse from Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, gave a speech on behalf of all trainees. She promised that she would seize this opportunity, study hard, think hard, practice self-discipline, integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice in an organic pattern, strive to become an excellent nursing talent in cardiovascular specialty and make contributions to enhancing the nursing level in cardiovascular specialty in the hospital.
During the training session, ice-breaking activities and Hospital History Museum visiting were specially organized and arranged for all trainees. Supervisor Nurse Lin Liping, also Secretary of the training base, explicitly introduced the distribution of relevant departments in cardiovascular training base to all trainees and led them for visiting and experience on the spot. This training course will provide clinical practice training for 1 month, which will be definitely highly-rewarding for all trainees.
