On July 13, 2023, experts from China Alliance for Rare Diseases and Hemophilia Treatment Center Collaborative Network of China (HTCCNC) conducted on-site review on related work of "Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia" applied by Department of Hematology of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). After on-site verification, work report, questioning and other steps, the FAH finally passed the expert assessment of "Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia" with high scores, becoming the first affiliation in northwest China and the sixth nationwide to obtain the title of "Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia".

Capacity-building Project of China Hemophilia Center, jointly initiated by China Alliance for Rare Diseases and HTCCNC, was launched in 2020, aiming to optimize the management system of hemophilia, and realize localized management and unified diagnosis and treatment for patients. The project will establish a three-level hemophilia diagnosis and treatment system including "Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia", "Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Hemophilia" and "Treatment Center for Hemophilia" nationwide.

Professor Yang Renchi from Hematology Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Wu Jingsheng from Anhui Provincial Hospital, Professor Zhang Xinsheng from Blood Center of Shandong Province, Professor Sun Jing from Southern Medical University, Professor Wang Shujie from Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Professor Wang Xuefeng from Shanghai Ruijin Hospital conducted on-site evaluation, and Professor Zhao Yongqiang from Peking Union Medical College Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences conducted online assessment. Liu Qingguang, Vice President of the FAH, introduced various medical services provided by the FAH for hemophilia patients. Subsequently, the evaluation experts conducted on-the-spot inspection of Hemophilia Outpatient, Department of Hematology, Department of Orthopedics, Department of Rehabilitation, Emergency Department, Department of Ultrasound, Clinical Laboratory, Pharmacy and Department of Blood Transfusion. By on-site retrieval and assessment of medical records, reading and checking different documents, facilities, operations and on-site questions, the expert team carried out comprehensive assessment of diagnosis, treatment, laboratory testing, preparation of therapeutic drugs, treatment of critically ill patients, rehabilitation evaluation and treatment, procedures of orthopedic and surgical departments, nursing care for hemophilia patients, teaching and follow-up of hemophilia patients, MDT diagnosis and treatment of hemophilia and implementation and management procedures.

He Pengcheng, Director of Department of Hematology, explicitly reported the specific situations of the construction of Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia. After the evaluation experts scored, the FAH finally passed the evaluation of "Comprehensive Management Center for Hemophilia". On behalf of China Alliance for Rare Diseases and HTCCNC, Professor Yang Renchi presented the plaque to our hospital on the spot. Vice President Liu Qingguang required all departments to timely resolve the problems proposed by the evaluation experts and provide more convenient treatment modes for more hemophilia patients.
