From July 12 to 16, 2023, the 2^nd Chang'an Cerebrovascular Disease and Neurointervention Forum, hosted by Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was successfully held in Shaanxi Hotel. The 5-day forum consisted of seven training courses, including animal embolectomy, intravenous thrombolysis, transradial nerve intervention, ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, carotid stent and stroke nursing training courses, two main forums and three sub-forums. During the forum, the semi-final of the 2^nd Neurointerventionalist Surgery Competition in Northwest China was also organized.

On July 12, training courses covering multiple topics were launched. In the opening ceremony on July 15, Professor Yu Jia from Department of Neurology of the FAH served as the chair. Luo Guogang, Director of Department of Neurology, Professor Zhao Zhenwei, Chairman of Professional Committee of Neurointervention of Shaanxi Medical Doctor Association, and Professor Han Jianfeng, Assistant-to-President of the FAH delivered speeches, respectively. In the main forums, Professor Miao Zhongrong from Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, Professor Liu Jianmin from the First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University, Li Tianxiao, President from Henan Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Chen Kangning from Southwest Hospital of Army Medical University, Professor Jiao Liqun from Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Professor Duan Chuanzhi from Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University and Professor Han Jianfeng from XJTU delivered special lectures, respectively. In the following two days, multiple experts gave lectures covering a wide range of topics. The meeting focused upon the field of nerve intervention, featuring two main forums of bleeding and ischemia, four sub-forums of carotid stent, acute embolectomy, aneurysm and stroke center construction, and five training courses on thrombotomy, thrombolysis, stroke nursing and thrombotomy via radial artery. The courses were full of professional and reasonable contents, catering to all levels of audience, which received high recognition from all participants.

Nearly 200 prestigious domestic experts were invited to the forum and almost 700 participants attended the academic lectures. The training courses were held in Animal Experiment Center, Interventional Operation Room of the FAH and Shaanxi Hotel, respectively. During this forum, Physician Liu Fude and Physician Sun Peng from Department of Neurology grabbed the first prize in the main forum of ischemia and the second prize in the main forum of bleeding in the semi-final of the 2^nd Neurointerventionalist Surgery Competition in Northwest China, respectively.
