From May 19 to 21, 2023, Chang'an International Cardiovascular Forum 2023 (CIC2023) was held in Xi 'an both online and in-person. The 14th Chang'an International Cardiovascular Nursing Forum was successfully held on May 19. Liu Meili, Chief Head Nurse of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) served as the Chairman of the forum, and Liu Yingying, Deputy Head Nurse from the FAH chaired the forum. This forum consisted of four sections for academic exchange and report including “Scientific management, improving quality”, “Improving professional quality, driving discipline development”, “Standardizing chronic disease management, practicing cardiopulmonary rehabilitation” and “Innovative practice of diagnosis and treatment, coordinated development of physicians and nurses”, which comprehensively represented new achievements, progresses and trends in the field of cardiovascular nursing. Meantime, a presentation session for difficult nursing cases was established for sharing and exchanging valuable nursing experience.
Yuan Zuyi, Chairman of CIC2023 and President of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital of the FAH, Li Wuping, Chairman of Shaanxi Nursing Association, and Li Jieqiong, Deputy Director of Nursing Department of the FAH attended the opening ceremony and delivered respective speeches. Top-notched academic experts nationwide and nursing backbones from all-level hospitals in Shaanxi and other provinces were invited to attend the opening ceremony.
In the academic exchange session, Chen Changying, Chief Nurse from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Professor Li Xiaomei from School of Nursing of XJTU gave intriguing lectures entitled "New Progress on Training of Cardiovascular Disease Specialist Nurses" and "Cardiovascular Rehabilitation and Relevant Research from the Perspective of Philosophical Thinking", respectively. Liu Geng, Deputy Chief Nurse from Fuwai Hospital of China Academy of Medical Sciences, Li Jieqiong, and Guo Xiaolan, Head Nurse of Tangdu Hospital of Air Force Medical University delivered academic lectures entitled "Construction and Application of Monitoring Indexes of Characteristic Informationization Nursing Quality Control for Cardiovascular Diseases", "Promoting Discipline Development with Professional Group-Taking the Development of ICU Sub-specialties as an Example" and "Dual-track+Triangle" Core Competence Training System for Cardiovascular Intensive Care", respectively. Subsequently, You Guiying, Chief Nurse from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Zhu Liyue from Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center of Affiliated Zhejiang Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Secretary-General of National Standardized Heart Rehabilitation Center, and Li Juanli, Deputy Head Nurse of the FAH, also contributed special reports, respectively. The medical team from Department of Cardiology of the FAH shared novel medical technologies.
During the session of medical record reporting, nursing backbones from 11 hospitals in Shaanxi and other provinces shared typical cases, including Nursing of trans-catheter percutaneous aortic valve implantation, Saving the life of a 13-year-old teenager with ECMO, and Diagnosis, treatment and nursing of patients with primary aldosteronism, which accumulated clinical experience for nursing work. Experts delivered comments and recognition regarding the contents of reports.
