In the interval of “The 6th Xi'an Jiaotong University Neurology Forum”, Professor Jose Ignacio Suarez, Director of NICU of Baylor College of Medicine, Huston, Texas, USA, and Professor Chan Seng Tan visited neurology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University on invitation on the afternoon of January 21.
Professor Jose Ignacio Suarez is the Director of NICU of Baylor College of Medicine and Lifetime Professor of neurology department, member ofStrokemagazine and National Editorial Board of Neurocritical society. He took part in the writing of a number of textbooks on neurosurgical and neurological disease intensive care and treatment guides of subarachnoid hemorrhage andcerebrovascular acute thrombolysis, published over 250 papers on SCI, and enjoyed great popularity in the research field of cerebrovascular disease and neurological intensive care around the world.
On the exchange meeting, Professor Jose Ignacio Suarez delivered a fascinating speech titled “Diagnosis and treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage”. Professor Suarez explained in details the early diagnosis and treatment of complication of subarachnoid hemorrhage based on his clinical experience and research achievement, and answered the questions posed by neurological physicians in our hospital, from which we benefit a lot.
Before the meeting, in the company of Huo Kang, Physician of neurology department of our hospital, two professors visited inpatient ward, outpatient, nerve electrophysiology and cerebral vessels ultrasound diagnosis room of neurology department. They were introducedon the status quo ofdiagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases of our hospital and spoke highly of and expressed strong interest on the sufficient patients in neurology department and advanced interventional therapy technology of cerebrovascular disease and good treatment effect. They showed the willingness to enhance academic communication and cooperate with neurology department of our hospital.
