From December 23 to 24, 2022, the "5th National Smart Health Innovation Final Competition (SHIC) in conjunction with the 1st National Medical Information Innovation Conference", initiated by Mobile Health Ministry of Education - China Mobile Joint Laboratory, was held in Changsha, Hunan province. A total of 228 projects were shortlisted for the national finals. The project entitled "Innovative Internet Rehabilitation, Building a Bridge between Physicians and Patients-The Lifecycle Cloud Platform of Rehabilitation Patients", submitted by Department of Internet and Information and Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), grabbed the first prize, the Most Development Potential Award and the Best Application and Practice Award of this competition.
"Smart Health Innovation Competition" is one of the most influential exchange activities of engineering medicine in China, which has been successfully held for five times since 2017. It aims to promote the innovation and integration of health and information technology through engineering medicine project competition, deepen the understanding and application capability of clinical, medical technology, information and management practitioners on advanced technologies, such as "cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, mobile internet, artificial intelligence" through various forms of online publicity and on-site roadshows, and enhance the level of smart health innovation in medical institutions, stimulate innovation vitality, strengthen innovation awareness, and gather and promote innovation achievements. Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was held both online and in-person, attracting nearly 100,000 online participants.
Based on the rehabilitation platform of our hospital, the Internet-based cloud management mode of the whole lifecycle of rehabilitation patients was established, covering "the initial diagnosis at grass-roots institutions, differential treatment of acute and chronic diseases, coordination between high and low-level medical institutions and balanced distribution ofmedical resources". From the initial admission of patients, out-patient to in-patient management, a multi-level management mode of rehabilitation business has been realized, which transformed the rehabilitation business from paper-based to information-based management pattern throughout the whole-course diseases. The range of service has been extended to discharge from hospital and home management, and a third-party online health management team can be included to realize health interventions. Regarding the management of disease prognosis, innovative digital prescription and health service interventionscan be given for rehabilitation patients. Implementation standards of home rehabilitation management are also established. Finally, the goal of accurate, real-time, quick and effective internet +rehabilitation services can be achieved.
Department of Internet and Information will continuously integrate resources, actively carry out innovative integration of "medicine, information and management", and adhere to the use of information technology to implement innovative practice of smart health care for medical staff, patients and hospital administrators, aiming to constantly improve the level of smart hospitals.
