To strengthen national academic exchange of therapeutic drug monitoring, promote novel ideas, novel methods and novel technologies of individualized clinical drug treatment and drive high-quality development of pharmaceutical services, the 12th National Annual Conference of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) in conjunction with Training Course for New Progress on TDM and Individualized Pharmaceutical Services, jointly hosted by Professional Committee of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of Chinese Pharmacological Society, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, were held online in Xi’an on November 24-26, 2022.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Dong Yalin, Director of Department of Science and Technology of our hospital, Director Zhao Rongsheng from Peking University Third Hospital and Director Zhang Bikui from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. Liu Qingguang, Vice President of our hospital, Miao Liyan, Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, Liu Wei, Deputy Director of Hospital Administration Bureau of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, and Du Guanhua, Party Secretary of Chinese Pharmacological Society delivered speeches in the opening ceremony, respectively. Dong Jiahong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor He Langchong from XJTU and Professor Sun Xin from West China Hospital were also invited to give academic lectures at the main venue, respectively.
A total of 182 prestigious domestic experts and scholars were invited to deliver lectures. Fifteen sub-venues were set up including anti-infection, anti-tumor, pharmaceutical analysis, quantitative pharmacology, evidence-based pharmacy, clinical practice, immunosuppressant, nerve and psychotropic drugs, drug treatment risk management, pediatric TDM, TDM in grassroots hospitals, TDM and scientific research, TDM and popular science, excellent TDM articles and youth forum. Two Workshop training courses on TDM and model-guided precision medication, 1 youth scholar salon and provincial professional committee salon were organized, totaling 20 venues. Approximately 35,000 participants attended the conference online. The annual conference this year plays a significant guiding role in strengthening academic exchange of TDM nationwide, accelerating high-quality development of hospital pharmaceutical services and improving TDM level and precise drug use in medical institutions throughout Shaanxi province.
