At 16:00 on September 21, a unique comprehensive technique competition was carried out in International Medical Center.

First of all, Deputy Dean Liu Chang analyzed the current situation of International Medical Center, indicated the development direction, and showed her great hope and encouragement. Director Tian Gang expressed gratitude for the efforts made by the leaders, the Medical Care Department, the patients and all medical staff in the preparation and operation period of the International Medical Center. During the period, patients were satisfied with their experience in hospital, and they also showed greater expectations to the future work of the young staffs.

Twelve medical staff members were divided into four groups for competition, and each group consisted of a normalized training physician, a secondary nurse and a primary nurse. During the competition of the first three items, each one demonstrated his/her unique features. During the last drill, they tensely but orderly expressed each case; all participating medical staff calmly dealt with the situation and made timely treatment. When the drills were completed, Chief Head Nurse Du of the Comprehensive Medical Department and Director Zhu of the Health Care Office made excellent comments in combination with the clinical practice.

Through the organization of this event, our physicians and nurses expressed that they learned much from the competition, which both consolidated their theoretical foundation and clinical skills and enhanced the teamwork ability. Therefore, they had a deeper understanding of the rescue procedures for critical patients, and their abilities to treat critical patients were practically improved. In the meantime, the competition also fully expressed medical staff’s spirit of “staying true to the mission and forging ahead” for the newly established International Medical Center.
