On February 6, 2025, Wang Guosheng, founder and president of Tuoren Medical, led a 24-staff delegation to visit and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Bilateral sides will jointly build a research institute for medical device transformation to jointly promote the innovation and progress of medical technology. Lyu Yi, President of FAH, Ma Xinge, Party Secretary of FAH, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice Presidents, Assistant-to-Presidents and relevant staff attended the meeting.

Bilateral sides hoped to take the signing of this Memorandum of Cooperation as an opportunity to establish a long-term, stable and sustainable industry-university-research cooperative partnership and carry out in-depth cooperation in the construction of medical engineering research institutes, novel technologies, novel project research and development, scientific research project declaration and talent training, etc. Two sides exchanged viewpoints on FAH’s tremendous achievements in the field of medical innovation, such as innovative device for neck anesthesia, visually adjustable dual-lumen bronchial catheter and its manufacturing procedure, clinical application of novel anal drainage bag after colorectal cancer surgery, special tools for internal fixation of double gastric tubes and alternative key transformation projects. The project team members explicitly discussed the research outcomes and the realization of project transformation with counterparts from Tuoren Medical.

President Lyu Yi and Party Secretary Ma Xinge delivered a concluding speech, hoping that bilateral sides will establish in-depth cooperation in the transformation of medical scientific and technological achievements and promote medical technological innovation and industrial upgrading, contributing to the advancement of health industry.
On February 7, general managers of each product pipeline from Tuoren Medical had in-depth one-on-one exchanges with the staff in charge of key promotion projects in FAH at Surgical Dreamworks, covering medical device, consumables, nursing tools and information systems, and delivered in-depth discussion with the project leaders from Department of Vascular Surgery, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Department of Hemodialysis, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation, Department of Infectious Diseases, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Research Center for Precision Surgery and Regenerative Medicine Engineering regarding the difficulties and challenges of these projects, the advantages and disadvantages of the industry in corresponding fields and the future direction of research. The project team members from FAH highlighted they significantly benefited from this communication, hoping to explore more opportunities to communicate with the industry practitioners in the future, thereby accelerating the practical application of innovative research achievements by FAH.
