From November 5 to 10, the 52nd Annual Meeting of American Society of Nephrology (ASN) was held in Washington State Convention Center. More than 13,000 researchers, experts, clinicians and nurses from over 100 countries and regions including the U.S., U.K., Europe, Japan and China attended the grand gathering. At the invitation of the Organizing Committee of the conference, Deputy Chief Physician Sun Jiping from Department of Nephrology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) attended the annual meeting.
This annual meeting of ASN comprehensively represents and exchanges novel achievements, progresses and trends in the field of kidney diseases from 2018 to 2019, aiming to promote the latest academic achievements and treatment progresses in the field of kidney disease worldwide. This conference covers globally hot research topics from basic studies to clinical trials, and spreads novel diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for kidney diseases via poster exchange and themed lectures.
During this meeting, Deputy Chief Physician Sun Jiping delivered a poster presentation entitled ‘The Effect of Hemodialysis with Central Venous Categorization on Urgent-Start Periodontal Dialysis’, which was highly recognized by the Chairman of ISPD and many experts. The research results have enhanced the academic research exchange of Department of Nephrology.
