Recently, the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Canada. The Cognitive Impairment Diagnosis and Treatment Research Team from the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) presented multiple research achievements at the conference, primarily covering the risk factors for cognitive impairment and the application of lecanemab in Alzheimer’s disease. Professors Qu Qiumin, Wang Jin, and Ma Louyan showcased seven posters on site. Professor Wang Jin, on behalf of the team, delivers an oral presentation on the interactive effects of the APOE genotype and educational level on cognitive impairment. During the conference, Professors Qu Qiumin and Wang Jin were interviewed by DXY Neurology Time and the Medical Community website. Their work drew wide attention from participants and experts in neurological disease diagnosis and treatment both at home and abroad.
In total, 19 of the team’s research achievements were accepted for poster presentation, including seven presented onsite and one delivered orally, making the research team one of those with the highest number of accepted presentations at this year’s conference. This reflects the high level and international influence of the team’s research.
Through the exchanges, the team gained more insights into cutting-edge research directions, which are expected to further optimize strategies for early diagnosis and intervention in Alzheimer’s disease. The team’s research outcomes received high recognition from peers at the conference, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. After the conference, the team will consolidate the feedback received and continue to explore uncharted areas in the diagnosis, treatment and research of cognitive impairment, striving to achieve breakthroughs in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease to bring more hope to patients.
