In the afternoon of December 28, Zhou Xiaobo, Lifetime Professor of Wake Forest University, came to our hospital for academic exchange and visit at the invitation of Lü Jun, Deputy Director of Clinical Research Center of our hospital.

Now Professor Zhou Xiaobo is the Lifetime Professor of Wake Forest University, Director of Bioinformatics and System Biology Research Center, chief scientist of bioinformatics. Professor Zhou has been engaged in researches of data mining, bioinformatics, system biology and biomedical imaging with remarkable achievements. He gave a lecture of “Individuality and Precise Treatment Based on Big Data Science” and proposed the idea of combining clinical research and basic research with the application of big data analysis technique. Besides, he gave a wonderful report about establishment of clinical big data, combination of basic database with clinical database, machine learning modeling of big data.

After the meeting, Professor Zhou Xiaobo expressed that he was willing to make further cooperation and exchange with personnel of our hospital on management of medical big data and he also invited scientific researchers of hospital for visit to America.
