On May 20, 2022, after the world's first 30W blue laser surgical equipment was successfully developed and applied into clinical practice, the team led by Professor He Dalin from Department of Urology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) joined hands with the team of PhD Mu Liyue from Xi 'an Blueray Medical Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (Blueray Med) tocreate novel achievements, successfully develop high-power 200W blue laser surgical equipment, and officially obtain the registration certificate for Class III medical device issued by National Medical Products Administration. Currently, it is also a laser energy platform equipment with the highest vaporization cutting efficiency worldwide, which fully showcases the advantages of laser surgery and resolves the limitations of other laser energy platforms with low vaporization cutting efficiency. The success of this equipment is a major achievementby our hospital for the construction of National Medical Center, which fully demonstrates the significant achievements of engineering medicine, hospital-enterprise cooperation, and achievement translation. It is also a concrete example of promoting medical technological innovation to pioneer the new trend of high-quality development of public hospitals.

At 10 am, our hospital held a news briefing for the successful application of the world's first 200W blue laser surgical equipment into clinical settings. Lyu Yi, Vice President of XJTU and President of our hospital, Yao Xiong, Director of Shaanxi Medical Products Administration, Wei Tao, Division Chief of Shaanxi Medical Products Administration, Professor He Dalin, a representative of R&D team from Department of Urology, PhD Mu Liyue from Blueray Med and heads of related administrative departments gathered to witness this historical moment. Professor He Dalin introduced the research and development of this medical device. Associate Professor Zou Zhihui from the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University illustrated the application of this medical device in clinical practice. PhD Mu Liyue, founder of Blueray Med, introduced the achievement translation and equipment manufacture via video connection. At the news briefing, a live surgery was performed in the operating room. With the cooperation of Director Wang Qiang from Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Professor Li Lei and Associate Professor Yang Lin from Department of Urology were performing surgery for a patient with prostatic hyperplasia with 200W blue laser surgical equipment, showcasing highper formance of the equipment on the spot.

At present, the surgical system has been applied in clinical practice by our hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, Xianyang Central Hospital and Xi 'an Gaoxin Hospital.
