Zhao Liang obtained the doctoral degree in stomatology from the Fourth Military Medical University. He is an expert of National Medical Examination for Oral Physicians. He studied in Dental School of University of Michigan as a visiting fellow. He specializes in various oral and maxillofacial surgical diseases, especially minimally invasive tooth extraction and autologous tooth implantation. He has accumulated abundant clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases, dental pulp diseases, tooth cosmetic repair, tooth defects and dentition defect repair, etc.

Zhao Liang has undertaken and participated in several projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Science and Technology Research Projects of Shaanxi Province and scientific research projects of Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has published more than 10 academic papers in SCI-indexed journals and Chinese core journals, and participated in editing 2 monographs.

Zhao Liang has received Science and Technology Progress Award of Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government and the honorary titles of Excellent Teacher  for multiple times.
