Li Weimin has been engaged in teaching, scientific research and clinical nutrition for many years. She specializes in medical nutrition treatment for various chronic diseases and nutrition support for critically ill patients. Moreover, Li Weimin takes advantage of traditional Chinese medicine theory to deliver diet therapy for patients diagnosed with different types of diseases with excellent therapeutic outcomes.

In recent years, Li Weimin has focused on metabolic diseases, published 19 papers in SCI-indexed journals and Chinese core journals as the first or corresponding author, presided over 3 scientific research projects of Shaanxi province and 2 scientific research projects of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). As the major participant, she participated in 3 projects of National Nature Science Foundation of China and 2 scientific research projects of Shaanxi province. She obtained 2 invention patents as the major participant and presided over 2 new technologies of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU and 1 new technology of XJTU.
