Shi Lei is a Doctor of Medicine, and a tutor of graduate students. He graduated from Department of Clinical Medicine of Xi 'an Medical University in 1998 (7-year education) and received a doctor's degree in surgery from Xi 'an Jiaotong University in 2005. From April 2016 to April 2017, he studied in Mayo Clinic (Rochester MN) in U.S. for 1 year. He has been engaged in standardized and comprehensive treatment of biliary tract stones and hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors for a long time. He specializes in complex biliary tract surgery, minimally invasive treatment of intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones, treatment after multiple biliary tract surgeries, examination and treatment assisted by laparoscope and rigid choledochoscope, radiofrequency ablation treatment of liver tumors, especially the comprehensive treatment of malignant biliary tract tumors, treatment of hepatolithiasis and hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases in elderly patients who cannot tolerate surgery. He has accumulated experience and achievements in biliary tract surgery, pioneered in carrying out percutaneous transhepatic choledochoscopic treatment of intrahepatic bile duct stones, and filled the gap in this technology in northwest China. He is proficient in preoperative jaundice reduction and ultrasound-guided interventional treatment of hepatobiliary diseases in patients with biliary obstruction.
