On August 11, 2022, the final results of the 11th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Shaanxi division) hosted by Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology ("Torch Center" for short) were released. The project entitled "Frequency-Conversion Wireless Ultrasonic Cutting and Hemostasis System" completed by Professor She Junjun’ team from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received the first place in Biomedical Start-up Group, and the project entitled "Living Biomedicine and Microecological Preparation" conducted by Professor Zhu Feng’s team won the second place.

As the organizer of this competition, the Torch Center is approved by CPC Central Committee and the State Council. It is the specific organization and implementation affiliation of the Torch Plan, which is a guiding plan for the development of China's high-tech industry. It aims to develop high technology, realize industrialization and promote persistent development of high-tech industry in China. Since the launch of this competition in July, it has attracted multiple innovative products from prestigious universities, research institutes and innovative medical enterprises across China. After fierce competition, the projects entitled "Frequency-Conversion Wireless Ultrasonic Cutting and Hemostasis System" and "Living Biomedicine and Microecological Preparation" applied by our hospital were shortlisted for the finals.
At the defense session of the finals, Professor She Junjun from Department of General Surgery explicitly introduced the core contents of the project from the perspectives of project background, core technology, market situation, project team and risk analysis,etc. Besides the functions of separation, grasping, coagulation and cutting of traditional ultrasonic cutting devices, the wireless frequency-conversion ultrasonic cutting device also possesses the characteristics of portability, no external cable, high efficiency and frequency conversion,etc. It can not only select different output power under different circumstances, but also guarantee high surgical cutting and hemostasis efficiency. After expert assessment, this project ranked the first in the Biomedical Start-up Group.

At present, biological drugs have a wide range of indications including infectious diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer treatment, allergic diseases, chronic infection and inflammation, metabolic diseases, mental and neurological diseases,etc. In addition, they are independent of donors, which is conducive to industrial scale production and product standardization. The project of "Living Biomedicine and Microecological Preparation” belongs to "Research and Development of New Technologies for Microbiological Drugs and Diagnosis of Mental Diseases", aiming to establish a world-class research and development and manufacturing center for microbiological drugs. This project receivedthe third prize in the national final of Jiangyin High-tech Zone Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and grabbed the second place in this competition.
