On May 18, He Jiangbo, Division Chief of Science and Technology Supervision and Integrity Construction Division of Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province, led a delegation of 5 staff to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) to host the project completion evaluation meeting for Open and Sharing Platform Project of Scientific and Technological Resources in Shaanxi Province entitled "Collaborative Innovation Service Platform Construction for Science-Technology-Medicine Precision Surgical Technology". Lyu Yi, Wu Rongqian, Ma Feng and Wang Haohua and other project team members attended the meeting. Gao Yao from Science and Technology Supervision and Integrity Construction Division of Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province presided over the meeting.
Division Chief He Jiangbo introduced the main contents of the meeting, emphasized that the achievements of sharing, opening and service of this platform are especially valued in the evaluation of project completion. The evaluation experts inspected the overall construction of the platform, including themagnetic surgery innovative research platform, molecular biology experimental platform, optical research platform, intelligent robot research platform, electric effect research platform, and regenerative medicine and tissue engineering research platform,etc. They also explicitly inquired the platform equipment, services, degree of sharing, the translation, qualification examination and approval, and clinical trial of self-designed innovative medical devices and equipment.
Wu Rongqian reported the achievements made during the construction of this platform from five perspectives of "construction background, platform construction, innovative achievements, services, and fund allocation". Since the construction of this platform, with Research Center for Regenerative Medicine and Surgical Engineering of Shaanxi Province as the main body, fivenational, provincial and ministerial sharing research platforms have been successivelyapproved. The research and development of high-end medical devices and equipment and promotion of relevant technologies have been carried out, reaching the leading levels at home and abroad in the fields of magnetic surgery, high-voltage electric pulse tumor ablation and laser therapy,etc. The platform gives full play to its service functions, and provides technical guidance and resource sharing in patent industrialization support, verification of scientific research and development of medical equipment, simulated verification before clinical translation of new technologies, declaration and implementation of major scientific and technological programs,etc.
Through the implementation of this project, a comprehensive platform for sharing scientific and technological resources by combining science, technology and medicine has been established, which outperformed the evaluation indexes required in the project contract document and successfully passed the project completion evaluation.
