On May 23, 2021, the "New Liver Line-Experience Sharing of Endoscopic Resection of the Right Posterior Lobe in conjunction with the Establishment Conference of Northwest Endoscopic Liver Surgery Alliance" was held in Xi 'an. Professor Lyu Yi from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) served as the Chairman of the conference. Professor Liu Xuemin from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of our hospital acted as the Executive Chairman.
Professor Lyu Yi, Chairman of the conference, gave a welcoming speech. Professor Liu Xuemin, Executive Chairman of the conference, described the course of dreaming, chasing and realizing dream, and illustrated the origin and blueprint of Northwest Endoscopic Liver Surgery Alliance.
Fourteen hospitals including the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, the director affiliation of Northwest Endoscopic Liver Surgery Alliance, the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University, the deputy director affiliation of the alliance, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University (Tangdu Hospital), the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU and other hospitals jointly launched the inauguration ceremony.Professor Lyu Yi and Professor Liu Chang granted the plaque of "Director/Deputy Director Affiliation of Northwest Endoscopic Liver Surgery Alliance" to 14 hospitals.
During the academic session, Professor Lyu Yi summarized and reviewed the work of full laparoscopic animal experimental research. Multiple experts contributed an intriguing academic feast. Professor Yin Xinmin from Hunan Provincial People's Hospital delivered a lecture entitled "The incidence and development of laparoscopic anatomical hepatectomy". Professor Zhang Tong from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University gave a presentation entitled "Fine dissection of the right posterior liver lobe". Professor Liang Xiao fromSir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine contributed a lecture entitled "Management of the approach and variation of right posterior hepatic pedicle". Professor Zhang Qifan from Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University gave a presentation of "Priority laparoscopic treatment of liver pedicle of the right posterior liver lobe". Professor Wei Yonggang from West China Hospital of Sichuan University shared experience regarding "Laparoscopic resection of the right posterior liver lobe". Professor Wang Haijiu from Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University delivered a lecture entitled "Discussion of labyrinthectomy of theright posterior liver lobe". Professor Zhou Jingshi from the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University gave a lecture entitled "Laparoscopic non-anatomical resection of the right posterior liver lobe". Professor Xu Jie from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University contributed a presentation entitled "Laparoscopic resection of the right anterior liver lobe".
Professor Liu Chang, Vice President of our hospital, Professor Zhang Xiaogang, Professor Bu Yang, Vice President of People's Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and other experts were invited to host the conference.
Finally, Professor Liu Xuemin, Executive Chairman of the conference, delivered a concluding speech. He highlighted that all members of Northwest Endoscopic Liver Surgery Alliance should join hands to enter a new era, expecting that more activities canbe launched in the future to jointly promote the development of surgical technologies in Northwest China and accelerate the surgical skills of young surgeons.
