On July 16, the results of "the third batch of National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center accreditation" were announced. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was officially approved as a National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center.
After online application, on-spot declaration and expert review, the third batch of National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center was jointly selected from hundreds of medical institutions in China by Cardiopulmonary Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Chinese Society of Cardiology of Chinese Medical Association and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of China Heart Federation. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center of our hospital was established in December, 2018. In September, 2019, the center successfully applied for the third batch of National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center led by Department of Cardiovascular Surgery in collaboration with Department of Cardiology, Department of Structural Cardiology, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Department of Geriatrics, Department of Psychiatry and Department of Nutrition. On November 23, 2019, the center passed the initial declaration with a high score of 92.55. On June 22, 2020, it received the online review and certification by National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center Expert Group, and was approved as National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in July this year.
Shi Bingyin, President of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, serves as the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation Center Committee, and Vice President Yuan Zuyi and Liu Qingguang act as the Deputy Director, who jointly organize and coordinate the construction and major decisions of Cardiac Rehabilitation Center. In the past two years, the center has continuously formulated, improved and optimized the diagnosis and treatment process, and established a relatively complete set of disciplines. At present, it has initially formed a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation model integrating “prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and rehabilitation” with discipline characteristics, professional teams and cutting-edge technologies, which can actively deliver cardiac rehabilitation treatment services and provide patients with comprehensive, holistic and individualized cardiac rehabilitation therapy.
Professor Yuan Zuyi, Deputy Director of the center, expressed that since the concept of “Comprehensive Health” was proposed by the national authority, our hospital has diverted extensive attention to the construction of rehabilitation-related disciplines, increased the investment in the field of rehabilitation, especially cardiovascular rehabilitation talents, equipment and space, and made achievements in cardiac rehabilitation work relying on the diagnosis and treatment mode of rehabilitation hospitals and multidisciplinary cooperation. Becoming a member of National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center signifies the recognition of the work by Cardiac Rehabilitation Center. The center will take this opportunity to constantly enrich the connotation and utilize the Internet and other platforms to bring cardiac rehabilitation service to the community and benefit more residents.
Professor Zou Yuliang, Assistant-to-President and Director of Medical Department, highlighted that the approval of National Cardiac Rehabilitation Center lays a solid foundation for building a National Training Base for Cardiac Rehabilitation. The center will give full play to the advantages of cardiopulmonary MDT rehabilitation of our hospital, and strive to build an integrated role model of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation in China.
