Recently, Professor Guo Youmin from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) led a team of imaging diagnosis experts who are fighting against the COVID-19 on the frontline to publish the academic monograph entitled Imaging Diagnosis of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (NCP) based on the current COVID-19 cases diagnosed by imaging examination and authoritative research results.
Imaging Diagnosis of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia was officially launched under the guidance of the National Imaging Expert Group for Diagnosis and Treatment of NCP. Professor Guo Youmin, Professor Niu Gang and Professor Chen Xin from the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU served as the chief editors. In addition, nearly 30 imaging experts from Wuhan and other regions on the frontline participated in the editing of this monograph.
This academic monograph focuses on the imaging diagnosis of NCP, covering the naming of COVID-19, imaging examination and protection, imaging examination methods, basic imaging signs, clinical classification and diagnosis, imaging staging, imaging outcomes and imaging differential diagnosis,etc. This monograph features a large quantity of clinical images and fine marks, with illustrations and text, aiming to improve the diagnostic capability and level of imaging physicians and relevant medical professionals.
Imaging Diagnosis of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia aims to improve the imaging recognition, diagnosis and differential diagnosis capability, and avoid the misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of NCP. The electronic version will be released in the early stage for clinical practitioners for free download, and the print version will be released subsequently.
