On October 27 (local time), the 105th Annual Congress of The American College of Surgeons (ACS) was held at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The appointment ceremony for the newly-elected ACS Fellow (Fellow of The American College of Surgeons) was a pivotal part of the congress. Professor Lyu Yi from our hospital was admitted as a Fellow of ACS.

At present, 174 Chinese surgeons have been admitted as ACS Fellow, and merely tens of whom are from the field of general surgery.
