Nurse Wang Shasha wins the Top Prize in the 1st National Competition of Clinical Skills for Teachers in Nursing Colleges and Universities

On August 2, the National Competition of Clinical Skills for Teachers in Nursing Colleges and Universities organized by Chinese Nursing Association was held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Wang Shasha, nurse from Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University along with two teachers from Nursing Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University participated in the competition, representing Xi 'an Jiaotong University. Wang Shasha won the Top Prize of single cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the team won the First Prize of the group competition.

The competition was organized by Chinese Nursing Association and co-organized by Fujian Nursing Association and Fujian Medical University. A total of 276 nursing teachers from 92 nursing colleges and universities in China participated in the competition. It not only evaluates the basic skills, but also comprehensively assesses the clinical thinking capability, team cooperation and humanistic communication of the contestants. This competition also offers an opportunity to evaluate the skills of clinical nursing teachers in our hospital.

Nurse Wang Shasha from our hospital was unanimously recognized by the judges for her exquisite skills, solid theoretical knowledge and calm adaptability, and finally won the Top Prize of single cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
