On November 30, 2024, International Land Port Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) launched large-scale free medical consultation. More than 50 well-known experts from 33 disciplines in FAH provided on-the-spot health services to patients.
At 9:00 a.m., the launching ceremony of this large-scale free medical consultation was held in the outpatient square of International Land Port Hospital of FAH. Relevant heads of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province, Administrative Committee of Chanba International Port, Xi'an Jiaotong University, FAH, Shaanxi Medical Association, Xi'an Health Commission, the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, Stomatological Hospital of XJTU, cooperative enterprises and participating affiliations of key research projects of National Medical Center, all leaders, assistants-to-presidents, members of party committee, core experts of FAH, multiple media representatives at provincial and municipal levels attended the launching ceremony, which was chaired by Ma Xinge, party secretary of FAH.
President Lyu Yi of FAH, Yang Bing from Administrative Committee of Chanba International Port, Chen Teng, party secretary of XJTU Health Science Center and Zhao Wen, inspector of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province delivered speeches, respectively.
After the launching ceremony, the leaders and guests visited hospital history and culture exhibition and the achievements made in the construction of National Medical Center, visited digital operation room and watched the simulated demonstration of modern digital surgery, and then visited ICU of Department of Cardiology listening to the treatment of patients with acute and critical cardiovascular diseases and watch simulated demonstration of advanced equipment such as sputum suction robots, etc.
Subsequently, the leaders and guests conducted in-depth exchanges with FAH leaders on promoting the construction of National Medical Center, and deliver comprehensive communication how to rapidly promote successful completion of the construction of International Land Port Hospital of FAH with high quality and high level. Relevant leaders of FAH held a seminar with leaders of relevant departments of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, key project teams of National Medical Center and heads of cooperative enterprises to conduct in-depth exchanges regarding the project progress, requirements and suggestions, and jointly explore effective paths to accelerate key projects. Medical Alliance Cooperative Development Forum in conjunction with Seminar on New Progress in Medical Technology were held simultaneously. Presidents and party committee secretaries of over 10 cooperative hospitals, 33 cooperative affiliations and more than 100 colleagues and peers of medical alliance were invited to attend the meeting.
Expert teams from all departments in International Land Port Hospital attended the free medical consultation. Health science popularization team led by Youth Volunteer Work Department & Youth League Committee disseminated the knowledge of prevention and treatment for related diseases for the citizens on the spot.
Electrocardiogram, ultrasound, routine blood test, liver and kidney function examinations were free during the free medical consultation, which attracted more than 2000 patients for medical consultation and conducted on-the-spot examination for 798 patients. This free medical consultation will endure for 1 month, aiming to provide concrete health benefits for patients.
