From September 5 to 8, 2024, "China Headache Prevention and Control System Co-construction Conference 2024" was held in Beijing. Headache sub-specialty team from Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) attended and delivered oral presentations at the conference. The conference aims to jointly promote all-round development and progress of headache specialty system in China by constructing headache prevention and control system and highlighting the latest international diagnosis and treatment technologies.

At the conference, China Headache Prevention and Control System and Baidu Map jointly released "China Headache Map". As one of the first-batch "Headache Center" and "China Headache Prevention and Control System and Construction Expert Committee" in Shaanxi province, FAH is the only headache center currently listed in the map. Director Luo Guogang, as Vice Chairman of Professional Committee of Headache and Sensory Disorder of Chinese Research Hospital Association, and Professor Yu Shengyuan and Professor Dong Zhao from PLA General Hospital jointly awarded the plaques to other headache centers and headache outpatient affiliations.

Initiated by PLA General Hospital, headache sub-specialty team from FAH successfully applied for National Key R&D Project entitled "Establishment of cohort, clinical research platform and quality control system for migraine". Implementation of this project will provide standardized guidance for clinical pathway and quality control of migraine in China and elevate the diagnosis and treatment levels of headache diseases nationwide. At the conference, Director Luo Guogang, as the project leader, illustrated the preliminary "quality control indexes and grading standards of headache centers/outpatients in China". Subsequently, a full-course migraine prevention and control system in accordance with China's national conditions will be established based upon this standard, forming a comprehensive management model and clinical pathway covering pre-hospital scientific education, in-hospital diagnosis and treatment, and post-discharge follow-up. It captivated widespread response from national experts attending the conference.
