In order to further improve teaching skills of teachers and make them become qualified in clinical medicine teaching, a trial teaching was held recently in the Department of Infectious Diseases in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. Professor Lin Shumei, Zhao Liang and Fan Wanhu of the department and Professor Ma Hongji, Wu Yu'e, Yue Jinsheng and Ma Qingyong of the supervision group were the judges, and they made comments and gave guidance to the three members of the trial teaching.

Firstly, the host explained the rules and time requirement on the activity, and distributed the evaluation form. Next, Lecturer Shi Lei, Liu Xiaojing and Ren Danfeng came to give lectures in turn. The lectures were rich in content and well prepared, and the slides were well-produced. In the teaching design, some were interlaced with wonderful pictures and videos, some introduced the Rain Classroom into teaching process for interaction at any time, and some combined their personal experience, which made lectures fascinating. In the end of trial teaching, the judges affirmed that each lecturer made careful preparation and their lectures were good. The judges emphasized blackboard writing and mind of them managing speed of speech during lectures and giving more interaction with students. In addition, the proportion of Chinese to English in teaching process should be properly handled.

Through the inspection of this trial teaching by supervision group, the teaching level of the teachers in our department has been further improved by retaining advantages and overcoming shortcomings. The trial teaching turns to become a demonstration, which promotes the teaching level of our department to a higher level.
