From July 7 to 9, "National Youth Academic Conference 2023 of Chinese Society of Imaging Technology of Chinese Medical Association", co-hosted by Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Society of Imaging Technology of Chinese Medical Association, and co-organized by Jiangsu Medical Association and Jiangsu Province Hospital (the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University) was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.

The conference features 17 venues, 70 special sessions and 304 presentations. Yang Jian, Director of Department of Radiology of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) led a team of 8 young technicians to attend the conference. Li Xianjun gave a lecture entitled "Preliminary discussion of National Natural Science Foundation of China for young technicians" in the special session of National Natural Science Foundation of China and SCI. Zhang Weishan delivered a presentation entitled "Application of PET molecular imaging probe technology in Parkinson's disease" in the special session of New Imaging Technology Discussion by Young Technicians. Wang Huan gave a special lecture entitled "Value of deep learning reconstruction algorithm for thin-layer low-dose abdominal CT images" in the special session of Low-dose and Quantitative CT. The remaining 5 technicians delivered paper reports. Reports by the team covered a wide range of topics, including new imaging technology, characteristic imaging technology, quantitative imaging technology, artificial intelligence, image quality control, disciplinary construction and scientific research methods, which received enthusiastic response from national colleagues and peers in the field of imaging technology.

In this conference, young technicians from the FAH conducted in-depth exchanges with national colleagues in this field, learned the latest cutting-edge technologies and theories, and constantly improved the level and quality of medical service.

During this conference, all team members were privileged to receive encouragement from Professor Li Zhenlin, Chairman of Chinese Society of Imaging Technology of Chinese Medical Association, successive Chairman Professor Wang Mingpeng and Professor Shi Mingguo, and Chairman-designate Professor Ma Xinwu, respectively. Young technicians from Department of Radiology shine on this national platform. Under the leadership of Director Yang Jian, the imaging technology team will persistently enhance the academic influence.
