The 2022 Annual Meeting of Chinese College of Interventionalists (CCI 2022) of Chinese Medical Doctor Association was launched in Nanjing on January 5, 2023. CCI 2022 was hosted by Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Interventionalist Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, organized by Zhongda Hospital Southeast University and Nanjing First Hospital, and co-organized by the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University. The Liver Cancer MDT team composed of Physician Wang Yun and Physician Li Weizhi from Department of Gastroenterology and Physician Tian Min from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU grabbed the first place in the national finals of MDT Diagnosis and Treatment Competition for Liver Cancer at the annual meeting of CCI 2022 of Chinese Medical Doctor Association.

As the highlight of CCI 2022, the "Best Partner" national finals of MDT Diagnosis and Treatment Competition for Liver Cancer were held on the morning of January 5. Teng Gaojun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and President of CCI 2022, delivered an opening speech. Professor Gu Jianping from Nanjing First Hospital and Professor Li Jiaping from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University were invited to chair the competition. Experts from Nanjing First Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Fujian Provincial Hospital, Shanghai Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital, Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital and Zhejiang Cancer Hospital served as the judges. Only the team standing out from preliminary competition, regional and national finals can successfully clinch the champion. The regional finals are divided into the East, South, West and North competition areas, and the top two in each regional area can advance into the national finals. The Liver Cancer MDT team consisted of Physician Wang Yun, Physician Li Weizhi and Physician Tian Min from from our hospital contributed a clinical case report entitled "Translational treatment of primary liver cancer", and outperformed in the presentation and Q&A session. Finally, the team grabbed the first place in the national finals. Hence, they also grasped the opportunity to study and exchange abroad. Due to intriguing performance, the team was highly recognized by the judges, colleagues and peers nationwide attending the competition both online and in-person.
